We think Paddy’s day is one of the best in the year. It’s an excuse to get out there with your mates for a few drinks and (hopefully) see a bit of sun. Manchester is well known for its buzzing bars and clubs, so we have pinned down the top places to go in the Northern capital this St Patrick’s day.
O’Sheas Irish Pub
O’Sheas has been around for over 20 years and hosts a huge annual St. Patrick’s day party. There will be live music from midday, as well as the usual live sports, huge selection of beer and decent pub food. This pub claims to sell the best pint of Guinness outside of Ireland, so why not go and taste it for yourself? Admission is free until 6pm and £5 onwards, so get down there early!
So the Bierkeller are celebrating St Patrick’s Day all week long. They’re offering £2.50 pints of Guinness from Monday – Friday before 7pm, so get down there to make the most of this deal! The bierkeller is famous for its bustling atmosphere and people dancing on tables, which is why this green party will be huge. Paddy’s day food specials for the week will include Irish Stew and Steak & Guinness Pie. What more could you want?
Located in the Printworks, Waxy O’Connors is one of Manchester’s biggest Irish bars. This St Patrick’s day there will be Irish themed food and drink, as well as a few DJs creating the usual party atmosphere. There are 3 bars spread over 3 floors, so there’s plenty of room to drink and dance. It’s bound to get messy on Waxy’s busiest day of the year!
Black Dog Ballroom NQ
Looking for something a bit more chilled but still want a few drinks? Black Dog Ballroom is in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter and offers a unique atmosphere inspired by New York’s speakeasy bars. Here you can relax and play pool, or have a dance and order a few Jameson’s. Either way, this ballroom is the right place to relax and catch up with mates this Paddy’s day.
Located in Deansgate, Mojo is the ideal place if you want a big day and night out this Paddy’s day. Take advantage of the deals at what Mojo are calling the big Paddy’s weekender. They’re opening their doors at midday and have teamed up with Jameson Whiskey to have shots lined up for anyone brave enough to down them. A hangover is pretty much guaranteed, but this will be a good day and night.
Wherever you decide to go in Manchester this St. Patricks day, have a good one!
