The 14th of July 1951, Ferrari celebrated its first official triumph when José Froilán González finished the Silverstone circuit in first place at the wheel of the Ferrari 375 — giving Ferrari its first ever F1 World Championship. Today, the story goes on as Ferrari is the most popular brand in the motorsport world and José Froilán González is known as one of F1′s all time best. To pay tribute to these performances, Girard-Perregaux launched limited edition “Tribute to Froilán González”, producing just 6o pieces for the 60th Anniversary of that historic race.

The iconic Aston Martin DB5 first appeared – complete with machine guns, revolving license plate, ejector seat and chariot-style slicing wheel knockoffs – in 1964?s Goldfinger, and has since returned to reprise the role in Thunderball, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and most recently in Casino Royale. Now comes reports that the vintage beauty has been spotted on set of the latest Bond film, Skyfall. While this isn’t the car’s first rodeo, keen-eyed observers suggest that this will be the first time that the vehicle will be in full battle regalia during a chase scene. HYPEBEAST

Matt Damon may not be reprising his titular role as Jason Bourne, but his legacy as the U.S. government operative gone rogue lives on in The Bourne Legacy. Neither a reboot, nor a prequel it explores the original story of a new hero played by Jeremy Renner (of Hurt Locker), as penned and directed by franchise mastermind Tony Gilroy. Apparently the Treadstone Project that Damon spent three wildly successful movies unmasking, was only the “tip of the iceberg,” leaving room for a fresh interpretation of the storyline by Renner’s character.
